Simon’s Ducati 900GTS DIY loom build
If you are reading this you’ll have been pestered by a pop-up thing advertising my loom building manual.
The manual feeds a steady demand around the world for loonies building their own bikes in all sorts of places and situations. (One of my favourites was a guy in Hong Kong who built his Honda 250 loom at work, in a first floor office next to the photocopier.)
Here is another example, by Simon. I’m not sure that Simon ever bought the manual, but in this case it doesn’t matter. Â I’ll let him take up the story:
“You very kindly provided advice a while back when I was fabricating a wiring loom for my project. I never got round to showing you the finished (as finished as they ever get) bike. I used o.e. Ducati plugs sourced from Mdina Italia to keep it as original as possible.”
The pic of his loom-building board is a still from a video he sent. I particularly appreciate the case of fancy French wine in the background.
